Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God. - Romans 15:7

The Church of the Resurrection is a Christian community, a parish ministering under the auspices of the Global Society of Mission and Apostolic Works known as the Anglican Mission. Under the patronage of Godly bishops from around the Anglican Communion we gather each day and week to  love Christ, our brothers and sisters and to live missionally in the world

All that we do for the sake of Mission begins not with our good intentions or good works but rather through the grace of God which is given to us through the Sacraments instituted by Christ, particularly the Sacrament of the Altar and His Holy Word.  That has called together a people from throughout Tampa Bay  who are  - young,  old, rich, poor, of various ethnic origins and  religious backgrounds. From our missionary efforts  to  our Mothers Union, to those who serve our fellowship meals  Resurrection is a community of faith which tries to keep the Gospel close to its heart and to live by Jesus' teaching.

The vocation of the Parish, as discussed in its first organizational meeting in 2002, is "to bring to a Tampa Bay  the life and ministry of the one holy Catholic  and apostolic Church as given in the Anglican expression.  Resurrection was founded as a community faith committed to Mission that is local and global working with partners from around the world. Over the years, we have welcomed into our fellowship worshippers not only from the city and suburbs, but also from various parts of the world.   Our commitment to the ancient traditions of Christian worship inspires all our liturgies from a quiet weekday Mass to the beauty of the Sung Mass on a Sunday morning. Our preaching the Word of God and ministering His Sacraments to all who desire them, fuels us to reach out in the world to places like Rwanda, Congo Tanzania, Madagascar just to name a few.

No community of faith is perfect but the key is not perfections it is faithfulness and compassion and to that we aspire.

For those of you visiting on the web, we invite you to come and visit in person. For those seeking a place to learn how to be a disciple, we would be honored to share the journey with you.

In Christ
